My first nasi dagang!

Wow, I made nasi dagang today! I'm so proud of myself today. Hahah!

It all started when I saw the fresh tuna (ikan tongkol) at Hong Kong Supermarket. I decided to buy the whole fish and nasi dagang immediately came to my mind.

I still had the remaining nasi dagang rice which Ma sent us last time before her visit to our place in Michigan. Yeah, only today I had the courage to try it. Heheh!

Thanks Ma for teaching me! I also added a cup of glutinous rice as advised.

D and kids totally enjoyed them very much.

Ayam kerutuk had been ignored that day since...

... everyone was busy savoring the ikan gulai. I was so happy seeing everyone satisfied with my nasi dagang which turned out how it was supposed to be. I hope I'm able to repeat the same taste next time :)

Acar timun is a must to overcome the richness of coconut milk in the rice and fish gravy.

I now need to gather more guts to try the next challenge of making nasi kerabu. Hahah!
