a kings grave

2008.01.09
pixel
This monument was made because they found a kings grave in 1933 here in Oss.
pixel
They found with it a bronze wine bucket and a gold plated sword.
pixel
The bronze wine bucket was also used as a urn in the bronze age
pixel
These hills of poles were graves aswell, ofcourse for the rich and powerful people
pixel
they found two Polesgraves
pixel
they rebuild it just to show how it looked like in the bronze age.

this one is for Mat, the only wildlife found in my backyard:-)

Found this place very close to home? Never noticed it before perhaps you like it, some history:-)

MHJphotos I love the history of this place! Such interest in things of the past.

The shots of the posts are very cool, especially the tighter crop of #6.

But that bird is awesome my friend! TACK sharp! The eyes have the desired sparkle, the plummage has amazing details, and his claws are razor sharp!

Fantastic shots Jan!
