These hairs looked just fine for me until I red the gray hair allusion and in the end I do agree. But it is still a very beautiful portrait. That little girl is so cute!

YES! Someone else venturing further into portraits! I'm guessing the one light might be enough as it seems the down light is what you don't like.... it has some nice shadows without any dark areas. Nice work!

She looks so sweet ;) I agree with the grey hair but I like her expression...and her blue eyes are perfectly focused. Maybe you could crop the photo a bit ...

Practice makes improvement Jan! This shot is very, very nice! I agree 1 more light to eliminate some of the shadow, and you've got it! You're lucky to have such a beautiful model to pose for you!
