Circus

2008.05.06

To bad you can't enlarge it to full size, it really looks good big size.
Wondering why the landscape shots remain small when enlarged.

Had to take my cam to the circus, not to make many pictures but only to test my flash or high iso pics. I found out that the light in this circus was just to low even for 1600 iso, so had to use the flash. After turning it down a bit(-0,7) i got these pics.
Update;
After trying the iso 1600 and switching back to the flash i turned the iso down to 400.

LastFrontier You make me (almost) want to visit a circus. These are just beautiful images. Regarding the lack of enlargement in landscape mode: I think you could post that vertically to get around the problem and the magic of that acrobat wouldn't seem any more or less impossible! Well done!

focussed fantastic job!!! Your timing in particular on these seems to be spot on. especially #3. Pretty low noise for 1600...did you try to adjust the noise PP?

slowpete simply awesome
was this still at Iso 1600?

fionarobinson i love number two.
Great colours for using a flash, sometimes you can lose the atmosphere, but you have retained it here.

apnimages When you go to 1600 Iso were you on P mode or M ? In P mode the Camera will read all the picture not just the High light part.

7matrix Good stability of your hands in ISO 400. #1 is my favorite for the style and colorful lights. Thank you for sharing, Jan:)

chanchiewsoo no wonder your shots look great w low lighting.....flash work perfectly in this situation; using the in-built flash? not many indoor place allow flash....that's why i ordered a f/2.8 zoom lens...will show you some test shots when i got it!
