Trip to Ningbo - Part 1

we've been exploring many areas around shanghai, but i've been longing to escape the city for a few days and see another face of china.

my colleagues and i did some planning and went on our first out of town trip to Ningbo, a city three hours away from Shanghai via high speed train

first stop - Tian Yi Pavilion - a museum that celebrates ancient art and culture

the entire pavilion is planned with the traditional chinese siheyuan architectural style in mind, with quadrangles of courtyards, buildings, ponds, and of course, a lot of archways and doorways connecting each area
