There is love out there...

I was at East Coast on 1 Sep 2007 and I saw this group of NUS students involved in one of the charity activities. I am glad and always happy to know that... there is love out there = )

The theme for this year’s Charity Fiesta – “Are You In The Picture?”, aims to encourage each one of us to take a step towards volunteering and to be part of this big picture of helping others. Through a photo-themed event, we hope to further promote the awareness of various disabilities and Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs) in Singapore.

NUS Charity Fiesta’07 will focus on direct participation and involvement from students and members of the public. Participants and members of the public would thus be more aware of the different Voluntary Welfare Organizations (VWOs) located within their community, and realize the need and value of the services provided by these organizations. In addition, NUS Charity Fiesta’07 hopes to further the government’s Many Helping Hands approach towards helping the needy in our community, through encouraging joint efforts from various partners in our community.
