I saw it in this old lady. Somehow...in a way.... I found her "attractive". I just couldn't help myself but to take photos of her.

and I told myself... ageing is beautiful.

You can only perceive real beauty in a person as they get older... and YES ~ Ageing should be Beautiful.

I'm very pleased with each advancing year. It stems back to when I was forty. I was a bit upset about reaching that milestone, but an older friend consoled me. 'Don't complain about growing old - many, many people do not have that privilege.' ~ Earl Warren

I think this is very true.....(and the older I get, the more I agree with it!!) There is a certain softness and beauty that comes to a person after a lifetime of loving...... You have captured this beautifully!

(And tell your husband for me that, even regarding pets, I've found that there is no way that you can insulate yourself from love, or from loss!)

This reminds me of something. When I was quite young, perhaps 25, I worked in a dental office. We had a patient, I remember her name was Ila. She was about 50 years old, which to me then was OLD. And yet I recognized how BEAUTIFUL this woman was. Everything about her was beautiful, and I don't mean just the way she looked... but her mannerisms, etc. It was the first time I thought about beauty as anything except young.
