statues of the old Ostend cemetery

i put all these trough the HDR orton filter to give them that softer look. Why? I don't know, just felt right.

the old cemetery of Ostend is not used anymore, but can be visited daily. These are all the statues that are to be seen there, but there are also many other interesting and very big gravestones. Some of them falling to bits, others still in good condition.

cemeteries are very attractive places for me to photograph though I dont want to be buried but I love the quietness there. Good serie, 1st one with that lines in the sky in contrast with the statue is great!

Great set! You really did a nice job photographing these statues. The last one with a bed on it is very interesting.

Always nice to visit a cemetry especially in other countries ( than Holland ) where we can find beautiful details and old textures. Here you've found some great statues and you've made a nice set of photos, especially nos. 10 and 17.....

What an amazing selection of statues, I really like the soft look you achieved with the filter. What ever you did with #25 is brilliant!! I also appreciate the beautiful piece of music you've accompained this post with.

Prachtige set, wow !! Nr 6 is voor mij de meest ;o( er zijn daar zo te zien nogal wat kindergrafjes... ;o( De muziek is schitterend, maar ik ben dan ook fan van Era.. ;o)

I don't know how I missed this post, These statues and your shots are wonderful, there's something about a cemetery. When I'm in one reading headstones I wonder about the person resting there, although the reason for them being there is final, I don't find it sad, I find it very peaceful, nice work :))
