great the toads are starting to come out again, found this one in my back yard the other night, so i picked him up, for a little "health" check, and meanwhile took some pictures whilst he was indoors. For those not sure of the difference between frog and toad...... a frog's skin is smooth, a toad is normally full of little bumps, and dry. Every little bump has poison inside, as this is they're defence if they get caught. Not that there is danger picking one up, but if they get hurt, lets say by a dog, then the poison comes out (that's why i move them to another place, as my dogs would love to play with them) also, toads do not stay in the water like frogs do, but dwell amongst the plants and in the ground, they just go in the water for mating or for the odd swim once in a while.
