Stonework in Downtown Fort Worth

2007.05.16
Romanesque columns support many buildings

Did they paint over a window?

That panther sure seems surprised

This one has cow skulls

Lions holding rings in their mouths

Hopefully this will be the last of the old pictures. I got my car back today and I'm several hundred dollars poorer. They replaced the whole sunroof. It was expen$ive.

There is a lot of stonework on the old buildings in downtown Fort Worth. Many don't notice it since the pretty stonework is usually up high. I like the columns and figures. There are a lot of cowboy and large-cat themes on the buildings. Cow skulls, lions, panthers, eagles, and many geometric designs.

There is some intersting stonework here in Clemson. Some of the buildings on campus have neat designs. Riggs Hall has random heads carved in a hard to see space on the side. I have no idea why they're there.
