Bedside Tables.
Grandad: We can't read tripe. |
Tea and Coffee Making.
Nan: Grandad drinks coffee and I drink tea, but I don't drink it as much as I used to. I drink mineral water or cranberry juice more now. |
Dog Walking.
Nan: I go out very early with him, today I went at 5.30am. We take him out like 5 times a day. |
Newspapers.
"Your Grandad reads the newspaper instead of eating. That's all he does, read the bleeding paper." |
Gardening.
Nan: We love our garden. Its my biggest pleasure. He likes admiring the flowers but its heavy work for him. |
Gardening Activities.
Nan: Oh I love flowers. Grandad loves Charlie, he talks to him and fusses him all the time. |
Food Shopping.
Nan: If both of us go together we spend a lot more. Grandad does a lot of it now, ever since I had my bad leg he took over, and now its better he's taken over. He can't wait to get to Sainsburys. |
Cooking.
Nan: Grandad has taken over with the cooking, but he's a good cook anyway. He has a lot of patience. |
Eating.
Nan: I have to eat what he wants to now. |
Living Room.
Nan: The covers match but the chairs are different. I have my Parker Knoll, my chair is gorgeous. Grandad's is a bit harder. If he had his way he'd be in my chair. Its nice to have your own space. |
Washing.
Nan: Chores are 50/50, always have been. |
Windows.
Nan: He's probably looking to see where the dog is or what he's barking at. |
Bedsheets.
Nan: Housework everyday drives me up the wall, same old thing everyday. I'm always bloody washing. |
Sleeping.
Nan: He falls asleep all the time like his Dad did. He gets tired. He does a lot of driving around, not many men his age would do it. |
Nan and Grandad.
Nan: Marriage is all about give and take. |
