I love watching the pelicans here. I could spend hours on the pier especially on a beautiful day like that Sunday, just watching the birds fly over in swarms, diving into the water kamikaze style; trying to spot the dolphins swimming right up close to the pier, entertaining the children; and being amused by the surfers (mostly amateurs I'm afraid!) braving the cold water, and getting dunked by the not-so-large waves.
