Caught the Interislander Ferry today from Wellington left at 8am (YAY - it was so windy and cold in Wellington) and arrived in Picton at 11.30am-ish. This ferry was massive, it had like 10 levels! I tried to stay on the top deck - the 'sun' deck - there was lots of sun but also lots of WIND and COLD so I spent a bit of time exploring the lower decks too.
The scenery, especially coming into Queen Charlotte Sound (good name that) was IMPRESSIVE as you can see from the photos. In fact, they don't even do it justice.
