PORTUGAL RULES SUPREME... once again!

Portugal is KING OF THE WORLD again... just like 500 years ago!

José Manuel Durão Barroso is portuguese and President of the European Comission since 2004. That's like being King of Europe... and therefore the world!

When asked how to pronounce "DURÃO" he said: "just call me José Barroso!" What?! Durão is the most important name there... DURO means HARD or TOUGH... DURÃO means TOUGH GUY!!! So we need that in Europe and the civilized world...

this is what "durão" means... the "I'm not intimidated by anyone" look!

Since July Portugal is President of the European Union!

So, our Prime Minister is President of Europe... and therefore the world!

He's known as José Sócrates but his full name is José Sócrates Carvalho Pinto de Sousa! Considering that in Portugal we have lots of first names and lots of family names you will notice that Sócrates is in the first names group... There are not many countries that do this... in the U.S. you have to go deep inside redneck america to find such combinations of first names... like Billy Bob, for example! So, since they are both second first names you can demonstrate without mathematics that Sócrates means Bob!

Of course we need more than politicians with interesting names... but we've got the power tools... don't be fooled by the sign (junior replicas)! These are secret weapons desguised as toys...

we control the skies too!

like we said before... things are not always what they seem! That's the special launching arm... this baby goes up almost vertically!

500 years ago it was like this... and we still believe it was more important to navigate all over the world... prove that it was round... and bring eastern and western civilizations together than... going to the moon :(

in fact... did our lifes change much since someone planted a flag on the moon? and what's become of that flag? no one cared to investigate... so it's definitely not important...

what's important is that this part of the world, for example, is still proof of the meeting of cultures... and that's great for the map making industry there... because names keep being changed all the time and so your "new" map today... is probably "old" tomorrow! :)

I felt that when I was in Japan... they do study and therefore remember that the portuguese were the first westerners there! :)

GOA, yes! Cool choice for the map... there are still some people there who speak portuguese... and the map industry is booming!

You can have maps changed from portuguese to konkani (local language) or to the hundreds of other official languages in India! :)

serve a presente para informar que nem toda a gente que está no sul do país é como esse energúmeno... não percebo o que lhe deu para sem mais nem menos começar a disparatar contra outros conterrâneos... que como já disseram não acreditam ser conterrâneos dele... e eu concordo! Deve ser um paraquedista... se trabalha todos os dias e o país dele continua uma trata... está tudo explicado!

Portugal não é uma treta porque...
...até tem bilhetes só de ida para Lanzarote.
...no verão temos miudas genuínas do país do TetraPack.
...temos um Alqueva em vez de Kahora Bassa.
...até temos DOIS Alentejos (ai que me emociono!)
...temos uma personagem que faz manguitos (aos da treta)
...uns trabalham e outros mandam trabalhar! (ah pois é!)
