Very nice my friend! I love the very shallow DOF in #1 and the compositions in #3 & #4. I agree, tracking BIF is not easy. When you see a good shot, you can't really appreciate it until you try it and fail miserably! Believe me, I know first hand how difficult it is to get good BIF shots! You haven't seen ANY posts of BIF on my blog, have you?! There's a reason ... ;) Very well done here!

Yes...it's never easy to track down bird (especially flying one) w a telephoto lens....how heavy is it?

At least you have a telephoto lens! I'm still learning how to use "point and shoot"! I like the 3 birds in #3. And that's a very unusual bunch of sticks! Who needs BIF???

This is a really great set, Andrea, very natural and great lighting as well. It says a lot about hope. The composition of #3 is excellent, the three birds on three different levels on the jungle gym. Birds are never easy to capture - keep it up, your shots only ever seem to improve.

Very cool and yes it is very hard to track birds in flight with a zoom, but practice makes your shots better. I carry a 300mm 95% of the time! great post I love bird posts!!

i'm glad you got out of work early and thought of going here andrea! numbers 2 and 3 really tickle my fancy. i LOVE this strange contraption of mulit-colored wood all in a jumble as a bird jungle-gym. i wonder if that was this formation's original intent? if so, very interesting and if not VERY interesting haha. either way, the way it's reflecting in that second shot is wonderful and it's a fun challenge to try and pick out were all the birdies are ~_^ and i just love the close up of number 3.
