Both captures are so different. I like the first because you've given depth to the urban landscape, showing the extent of it's reach onto the walls of the neighbourhood. The second clashes the clean CLEAR message with the chaos of the random graffiti on the wall...My fav is the second, it really oozes urbanite lifestyles! Good work!

Hahah, I love the first one. Maybe it is the hulk playing hula hoop? The dof in that shot is great too. I completely agree with you about bad service and people who are fake! I was friends with a person for an entire year before I realized how fake she was. Now I'm just glad that I no longer have to deal with her deceit (and other traits) anymore! I hope you were able to find what you wanted to buy at a different place, with better service! :-)

Definitely an appropriate title!... I really love the colors of #1. The textures of the second one makes it stand out to me though.

Bad service is everywhere...just press 1 for no one is here, 2 for really bad service, 3 for someone who doesn't give a hoot... Yea, I'll go with fake people are something to gripe about too. I've met many in my time. Can usually spot 'em right off now. They give off a certain vibe as do really negative people. Now, those pictures are a real find. No matter what your day you just have to laugh at the first one.

That's right, get it out of your system, Andrea. By the way, are water hydrants in Australia green? I've gotten so used to seeing them red in the countries where I have recently lived in. The ones in Spain are red-and-white but its shape is quite something ... I must remember to post a shot of it sometime. Thanks for sharing, and have a great weekend.

Customer service is very important. I myself understand when things are busy and I have to wait but at least acknowledge me. Nice post, love the green hydrant.

At least call the manager, tell them that you were there to spend money, and wasn't given the time of day, so they lost the sale!! Give them the name of the salesperson who did NOT help you!!

Great shots! Yes, nothing is more irritating than bad service....I also don't like it when you go to a shop and people are not really friendly or giving you honest advice.... That's a reason for me not to go there anymore....

And I thought you were docile :) I have to agree with you on that subject, customer service is very important, what alot of people don't undertand is an echo goes a long way. They may have thought just one ignored person is not a great loss, but that one can lead to others in the form of echos.......Interesting shots, a huld who hula hoops :)

ahhh yes...bad service...very unbecoming of a business. You need to totally pull the "Pretty Woman" on them. Remember in the movie...walk in with all your purchases from the other store and let them know "mistake, BIG mistake...HUGE." They'll know what's up then. Oh the other hand, it's fantastic that you channeled that anger into a creative photo opportunity! Nicely done. :)

Wow, 30 minutes? That's insane. I could not have gone quietly (much to Kevin's chagrin). :) I love these shots, though - especially the hulk, and the graffiti behind.

I can't get past your composition in both these shots. The lines in both, the levels of contrast across them, and especially the dof in the first is really good. The editing on both is subtle as well (if in fact, you did any, it's hard to tell, aside from the fire hydrant). I'm not sure how you feel about these shots, but I really like them: they seem unplanned, and unaffected; I do hope they surprised you :) Sorry to hear that you experienced bad service, but perhaps it just wasn't meant to be that day - it seems to have given you creative fuel and that's infinitely better than turning into a man :P hehehe

These are great photos to illustrate your story though it IS hard to imagine you as the Hulk. :) I feel the same way about it that you do maybe because I used to work in the service industry and was taught to acknowledge every person. It only takes a moment and then I don't mind waiting.

I want to have a BAD day in order to shoot photos like these. I detest bad service and fake people also. I'm not the Hulk when I get bad service, I think they want me to be, I'm calm and will need the manager or owner, then I'm satisfied, But on the other hand, I make sure I ask for the manager or owner when someone gives great service. Fake people-- can spot them in a minute and have no use for them in my life.

i definitely like the shots. both equally, for substantially different reasons. let me just tell you that i can't deal with fakeness either. it seems that california is chock full of it however. at least i am surrounded with a bunch of down to earth library types haha as for bad service, i'm a total push over and nick hates that i let people take advantage of me, i.e. getting the wrong meal at a resturant, paying the wrong price for shoes, wrong drink at starbucks; things of this nature. i tend to suck up my losses which is something i need to work on! i totally hate waiting and being ignored at stores and eateries, i just have to learn to act on it haha p.s. the mental image of you as the Hulk was HILARIOUS ~_^
