In the last few weeks I've gotten 3-4 spam "comments" -- people selling viagra and all kinds of things. Why? Is there any way of preventing this other than limiting viewers to friends?

i've just gotten 4 msgs from 'rose5000,' all clearly spam.
don't these people have anything better to do?

i call to block rose5000 from photoblog.
i just got a personal message from this user asking for my age, location, birth date.
photoblog admin, DO SOMETHING. this isn't funny... there should be enhanced security here in photoblog.

Michaels, please get rid of user "gustoas" HE/SHE spreads porn spam. Even if you click on the name you get redirected to a porn site

close your comments to friends only, that's one option. Close your comments to PB members only. This stops outside spammers, which is difficult for admins to do anything about. Spammers with PB accounts can be reported to the admins, and they look after it quickly.

Most of the time when I leave a comment, the article disappears. Everything that a user types on this site should be accessible via the user's Dashboard. I'm sick of coming here and trying to find comments that I posted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
