This is a pretty good short film shot with a DLSR with video capabilities.
Thanks to the limited depth of field you get the feeling of a more "professional" set-up. It would be interesting to know how he kept the camera from being nuked by the snow.

Very Nice use of imagination and technology and humor.

I'm very impressed. Here I am with a machine that can do that and I've never even thought about using my 7D for it's video capabilities. Not that I'd imagine for a minute I could produce anything like that.

Awesome. Thank you yellodog!
I'm not saying that it's easy, but I know that it is possible for anybody to learn doing a montage like this ( except for the beauty of the images and idea - that's up to each individual).
At the photo club I go to, they give free lessons how to do these "photo essays"...Many people of the club learned how to do their essays but I always said No, ...maybe now I will reconsider the offer

But you can apply the same method to filming with a photocamera or combine both still image and movie. And they teach how to synchronize the images to the music ( as it's not the other way around).
I saw in one photo essay - after many still images - it was one of a tree in the Fall, shot upwards, and then unexpectedly leaves started to fall towards the viewer but nothing moved, the picture stayed the same. It was hallucinatory.
I liked the idea of showing pictures and then suddenly something moves trough them...You can do that with only pictures, simulating a movie with many pictures taken rapidly at once ..
There are many methods...it just needs imagination.
...Ah, and willingness to learn ( note for me for 2011;)
