Has anyone out there used the D80? I'm thinking of investing in it. Currently using a Nikon Coolpix 8800 n loving it too. I'd love to hear comments from fellow photographers who've used the D80

amazing.....the small n cheap version of D200....

I have the D70s and my brother has the D80. I love my camera, but after using my brother's, I wish I had waited a few months and invested in it instead. Very nice camera for the money.

I once owned a D80, but I upgraded to D200. I must say that there isn't too much of a difference between the two. The only differences are in ergonomics and speed, which for me are two very important things. But if that does nont concern you, then the D80 is a great buy. My suggestion is though that you wait until the D300 comes out in November so that you can get a better deal on the D200.

Its the eye behind the camera that counts and not the camera. D80' specifications are not too far from D200's. Why don't you get an additional lens with the money you may save by choosing D80 over D200. I've been using the D80 for a while. Been loving it...
