Hey all~

I just began my journey as a photographer, and would LOVE some feedback and comments! I haven't had the chance to take any photo classes, so I'm learning on my own. Any tips you could give would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much in advance!

Hey , that is great. Just started to take it up again 3 years ago, learning on my own as well. I do it because I love it. Wish you great fun at seeing the world though the lens.

Hi

I am here as well to try and get some response and critique on my blog, and photo's taken.

I have entered a few in the weekly theme, but alas I have not had much feed back so cant really tell, if my photo's or just so boring that no one looks at them or if they are average so no one commets.

Any help will be apprecaited, we all live and learn

To receive comments, you must browse and comment on other Photoblogger's posts. Get to know people and people will get to know you too. The critiques section on the forum allows for one photo to be critiqued. That is where you will get the more experienced photographers opinions. Most Photobloggers here are not interested in critique and just like to share whatever they photograph. This site is for people who like to show their "Life In Pictures" and look at other's "Life In Pictures" and make a few friends along the way. We are a community of people who have an interest in photography but not neccesarily "Photographers"
Welcome to Photoblog!

As ArtBee says, you get out of this site only what you put in, so ask people for input (as you've rightly done here) and go out and make some friends. Where I disagree with Artbee is to say there is space for people who are "only" photographers, just as there is for family snappers and all other kinds of people with an interest in photography. This site should be broad enough to accommodate everyone. There are other sites for "art" photography (smugmug, flickr, redbubble, etc.), but you may find the level intimidating and none, to my knowledge, has such a tight-knit community feeling as this one.

I lobbied to create the critique section of the forums some years ago (in my "revenant" or "sjasf" account - can't remember which). It is hard for members to offer constructive advice on a whole series of images, so post one image in the section using the "insert image" button on the right of the text zone (you must copy the image URL first and paste it between the [img] tags).

There really should be an "intro" or "user guide", compiled by members, help newbies...
