Does anyone have experience of this area. It was suggested to me that my photos could be suitable for it. I realise that the forum of photoblog is a very supportive one so felt I might get some real honest comments, particularly if You do this...There must be drawbacks etc but I cannot even attempt to assess this as I know little about it. The net gives info but is this unbiased I don`t know..!

Viv, why don't you apply to Alamy, and send them 4 prepared images to which they will respond as to their suitability in terms of quality. Their site gives detailed instructions on how to prepare the images (I checked and your camera is on their suitable list.) There are loads of other stock libraries out there, and many give a terrifying list of requirements of preparation, which was enough to put me off even trying to get accepted. Alamy is perhaps one of the most accessible, but how many shots you would sell - I would be interested to know!

By the way, there is a Welsh stock library which a friend submits to - and when I remember their name I will let you know.

That`s great, let me know when u remember...Alamy I`ve looked at and actually understand their contract and most of their technical info...not that messing with images is going to be a problem I rarely do more then lighten, darken and occasionally crop. Computer wise do u know if I go back and re-save jpegs as tiffs this is same as if you`d originally saved them like that otherwise most shots may need to be redone ugghh. Plus I use a manual lens on my dslr but it never shows up in the exif data on photoblog so perhaps I`ll get away with this. Anyway long and short I`m going to have a go and we`ll see what happens. x viv
