i want to block a member from commenting and msging me . is there any way to do this other than changing settings in the privacy such as only allowing friends from viewing my blog. i guess if i have to do that i will but then other members can't view my blog .

being able to block a member is something that is coming probably tomorrow or wed.

I need to block a member, but he has a strictly privacy, so I have not the "block" option against him.

have either of you first tried telling them why you don't want their comments? some people are just a little over effusive and very easily feel they are your friend, just like in the real world. Blocking someone without explanation is waaaay too easy.

I thought this was a technical support, not a moral support.
I dont want to point my finger against nobody, I'm not asking to ban some users, I just asking if I can do a block...
I don't want polemics with nobody and I would like to support this nice website, so I prefer that someone will stop to offense me.

you can visit their blog page and there is an options drop down right below their username you can click and a drop down will come up and there will be a block option.

or you can just put their username in the following format. for example if you want to block me
