Sorry if this has been covered. I'm losing a lot of color and contrast when formatting an image from RAW to a suitable size for the Web, which, I assume, is a modest JPEG at 72dpi and 52K. Would increasing the size to 1MB, for example, lessen the loss of hue and saturation?
I expect some loss of color intensity and hue from the compression, yet I see so many professionals on this photoblog site with extraordinary color saturation, etc.
How do you do it? Thanks.

I convert my raw files to jpg, but keep them at 300dpi. Before uploading them to photoblog I resize them to 1024x768, which is still a little larger than photoblog will display, but I let the uploader worry about scaling the image after that. I've not had any problems with loss of saturation or hue from the upload

Andy,
Thanks for the link. As a small web developer, I like the popup image on the page. Seems to be a feature of PhotoZoom, although I assume Javascript could do the same.
