I agree. You will get more visitors to your blog if you visit fully participate in Photoblog by visiting other blogs and commenting on them - preferably not just with your blog URL.

This is a very peculiar way to advertise! Posting comments on others blogs like "thanks for sharing, nice pic" is much more efficient.
Particularly if you haven't wasted time looking at their pictures and scrolled down to leave the comment.
