My captions seem to wander around the page today. If it's my problem and user error, I apologize. Will switch computers to see another view.

I removed a link to another URL, and that seemed to have fixed the page (4.7.2008).

Thanks for all that you offer here. Time to donate again?

not sure what you mean.. did you place a link in the image comments box and that screwed it up?

Mike,
That would seem to have been the case, but I'm no IT expert! I had the link in the image comments section under a photo. When I removed the link, the text that seemed to appear where it shouldn't have, behaved.

this problem happens any time I try to use the new link function in the photo captions.

the text appears twice, along with the html tags - text and tags appear above, below and beside the image.

I'm using firefox/mac.

Julia explained it perfectly. And that's my platform and browser of choice, as well.

I'll try to take a look at this.. but if you refresh the page it is only one of the text correct?

Haven't tried a link just below a photo since 4/10, Mike. I will check if you want.

Thanks,
Jan

I'd used a link in one caption and it went wild - above, below and beside the pic, like Julia said - so I took the link out. the caption was still all over the place, so I took the whole thing out, refreshed, and redid the caption without a link.
should I try doing the link again sometime?

Mike, to answer your question, the text appeared below and beside the image I appended it to, as greenspace describes. However, snippets of it also appeared, rendering the text unintelligible.

I don't mind. I can live without this. Seems as if you've enough on your plate to bother with this now. Thanks.

Oops, I posted another thread on the same subject, not realizing one had already started.

Mike, it's no biggie - I'm not going to stress over it. However, if you'd like to see what it looks like when this happens, here's a link to a screen shot of my post for today, showing how it looks when it goes wrong. (If you enlarge the photo you'll be able to read the text.) I currently have the links removed in the post, so it's back to normal for now.

I've cleared my cache and refreshed, and it doesn't help. This has happened on more than one occasion.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, Mike. I tested with a link below my image today, and all seems to be well. Thank you!
