When I post my pictures get "washy" (I hope I'm correct) I mean hat the colours are not as nice as when I was working on photoshop. I have chosen the Adobe 1998 as profile. I'm working on a mac.
Who knows how control the things not to be desappointed at the end... and have to post them one by one....
thanks for the answers

Well, it might just be the fact that the pictures are scaled down?

I'm not sure if I've seen the effect you are talking about. Before I post, I make my image the same size or smaller then the maximum the site will allow. Maybe you do that already?

Actually, that's a good point to ask about: whether the site compresses the images differently. When you "save for web" in photoshop (which I usually don't do) it gives you compression options to make the file smaller. Maybe the washy effect you describe is the compression of the file.
You could ask this question again in the technical part of the forum - whether they compress the files, and to what extent. So you can at least do the compression yourself, and see how the image will look.

Thanks for your answers
I realize that when I "save for the web", it does the same thing
so I can control and change my correction to get closer to what I want to share...
Even if I compress myself it changes the colours....
I'll check better when I work on them
Thanks again

few things to check, file format (bmp, jpg, png), resolution (I usually set too 1024 before posting), and do yu use CMYK or RGB ? happened once with my friend when he uploaded CMYK image, off course colour changes cos on screen it's RGB.
