This past Sunday I made a trip to Yabor City in Tampa, Florida. This is a very old settlement along Tampa Bay. Many, many years ago families from Cuba settled here and started small factories making cigars. In fact, one of the largest buildings in town is the old Cuesta Reye Cigar Company building. Another building houses the Columbia Resturant that has some of the best black beans and yellow rice in the area. The area around the Columbia has started to get run down as evident by the peeled pain and old doors. Along with the food the Columbia is know for the colorful ceramic tiles that decorate the building.
