Pink hibiscus

2007.02.18

I couldn't resist taking a picture of this beautiful hibiscus. It just goes to show you that even when it is dark, windy, cold, and rain there are still beautiful things to see all around us. I had my wife hold up a piece of aluminium foil to catch additional light.
The second picture is of Alligator Lake. You do not want to let your dog run loose around this lake or it will be gone, it is full of alligators. People that have moved to the area take thier dog, without a leash, for a walk around the lake and before that know it Fido is history. There are signs everywhere, but who reads signs.

matheusgr Hi, Gbennett.

Really liked those pictures! So, this flower is called hibiscus? Good to know, we have many down here in Brazil.

As for the lake, it´s called Aligator Lake for a reson!!! You should take a photo of one alligator and put it as a warning.

Sir, you risked a lot kneeling to take this picture. ;-) eh eh eh

Good job!

Thanks for sharing.

rajasukar Mr. Sir Gbennet, i have just discovered your work. It brings much joy and pease with your special touch with camera. Your flower photos bring tears of joy as in my country pollution will not cause for flowers to grow so beautiful. you have good eye for flower.
