Imagine driving by a field you pass in your car every week, and suddenly seeing it swaying with 300 human-sized red "flowers"! This is an artistic installation entitled “Papaver Rubrum Giganteum” and is the creation of artist, Gary G. Miller. It's being tested out at the Morris Arboretum in Philadelphia before it goes out west to The Burning Man Festival later this month. It is the movement of these abundant structures in the sunlight that really lends them their magic. The whole field was dancing on pliant stems!

I shot this low-grade clip, which does not have quite the same effect as being there and feeling the breeze!

????? Fabulous! How random?!

It's great when one comes across such an interesting find such as your human sized flowers.
