Tranquil Greens

2008.07.18

Polygonum perfoliatum, aka Mile-a-Minute Weed because it grows 6 inches a day, or Devil's Tail Tear-Thumb due to its ability to rip into an unsuspecting passerby with the barbs on its stems and leaf veins!

All taken at the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education, Philadelphia, PA.

mattandbranson What a gorgeous collection! It did indeed make me feel tranquil! So much so I think it is time for me to break away from here and go to bed! =P

stormfish a dark path - most often in literature this is where the bandits/monsters/ghosts/ghouls/ogers/liches/undead kings reside.

it's amazing what modern cities and the aera of romantic did to us; nowadays, we pack all the scary stuff into idyllic holiday parks...

btw, i'm reading "emma" right now... what a story! :-)
