Three Peters

2008.07.24

I thought it would be neat to group together these photos of three different generations of Peters in my family -- my grandfather, my father, and my son.

I found it interesting, too, that none of them was looking at the camera.

astrobrojler Brilliant idea, you are master of blending past, present and future (I still remember those lights at Garden State Railroad).

GnatBytes I like it!! My grandfather was named Peter, but that is where the name ended.

eidea what strikes me most on these pictures (i love the idea, btw, and might do the same on my blog one day) is that your grandfather and father look more similar to each other than your son does to both... this is mainly to the way they are photographed, i think. in their times, a picture was taken for a total different purpose than a snapshot today; your ancestors don't look into the cam because the photographer wanted to achieve a certain effect; your son doesn't look because he couldn't care less being photographed.

it's amazing what plenty you transport with this entry; i'm truly glad that you posted this. :-)
