A red eft -- the juvenile terrestrial stage of the red-spotted newt (Notopthalamus viridescens), which falls between the aquatic tadpole stage and the aquatic adult stage in the life cycle of this species.

One of about 20 mushroom species we encountered in the woods here. The prettiest ones were a smooth, beautiful purple color, but my shots of them came out poorly.

Nice set, colours at #3 are fantastic :) And #1 looks like dinosaur hacking through triassic forest of Equisetum ;)

Nice set. As a cild I used to keep newts as pets (well not for long as they always wandered off from the bowl of water I had them in!)
