The colours of Harry Potter

I noticed my collection of Harry Potter books on the shelf last week and thought I ought to be able to make a photo of them but wasn’t quite sure how. Then this afternoon I was thinking about shooting a photo using colour today and my mind returned to Harry Potter. I decided to shoot at an angle to create some variety in the depth of field and carefully lined them up to create this sort of rainbow effect with the different colour covers. This seemed especially timely as the last book of the series was released almost exactly a year ago –the anniversary will be on Monday 21st July.
