I was browsing round the village shop today and spotted these ‘Love Hearts’ sweets on the shelf. I fondly remember eating these sweets, which feature a message on one side, as a child and decided to make them the subject of today’s photo. On opening the packet I also realised how much times have changed since I last had any of these – they certainly didn’t feature the message ‘email me’ when I used to eat these!

The Nostalgia of Childhood and the Horror of Diabetes! Really wish my parents, relatives and other elders had cared enough to discourage me from eating sugary things! Diabetes is bloody murder! And most of society is subconsciously an accomplice.....to an extent that inclues me, myself! But I'm willing to be part of some serious reform movement against excessively sugar-filled foods!
