Beyond the rainbow

I had another day in London today, this time for work. I had some time to kill when I arrived at Victoria Station though so I popped into Westminster Cathedral to have a look round. While it’s a magnificent building it’s also covered in scaffolding inside at the moment so I didn’t get a photo I was happy enough with to post here. As I left I noticed a very modern building on the other side of Victoria Street and decided to take a look. At one end I noticed a large lobby area with this rather striking neon light on the wall. I smiled sweetly at the security guard and asked if I could take a photo and he agreed. I really like the contrast of the neutral stone walls and the grey escalators with the rainbow colours of the neon strips and the title of this post struck me immediately. I have absolutely no idea what this end of the building is used for (the other ends houses offices and a number of shops) but I’m pleased I happened upon it!

ppinho I like the angle you captured it! The other crucial detail to the photo is definitely that neon panel! It's strange to be there just like that! Maybe modern art in the station?! Have a great weekend! :)

busybee36 I really love this one - the contrast between the coloured lights and the dull building is wonderful and I've added it to my favourites!
