I’ve used these tiny little Minis for one of my photos before (see http://www.photoblog.com/girafferacing/2008/06/03/ ) but I thought I’d give them another outing today. Being a Mini owner myself (and these three are the colours of the three Minis I’ve owned over the years) I’ve watched the film The Italian Job more times than I can remember and thought perhaps I could recreate a little of the feeling of the fabulous chase at the end where Michael Caine & co drive their three Minis through Turin, passing through shops, down steps, onto the roofs of buildings and even through a sewer. I set up the three cars on different levels to give the feeling of them chasing each other down a hill. It may not have quite the excitement of the original but I had a few minutes of fun creating it. As Charlie Croker says at the end of the film, “Hang on a minute lads, I’ve got a great idea…”
