The snow had pretty much all disappeared by the time I drove home from school this afternoon so I took a detour via West Dean Gardens. I had a little wander around the walled gardens, stopping in one of the Victorian glasshouses to make a fuss of a black cat I found sunbathing there. While I was in there I looked up towards the sky and noticed the structural patterns created by the ironwork. I liked the contrast of the criss-crossing white lines against the blue sky and puffs of white clouds beyond and thought it would make a good abstract shot.
