Hints of spring
For some weeks now there have been green shoots sprouting all around our front and back gardens, in spite of the wintery weather we’ve been having. When I got home from school today I noticed this solitary crocus flower had appeared in the front garden so I grabbed my camera to make it today’s photo. It really is a tiny specimen, with the flower only about 5mm wide, so I had to position myself most inelegantly by the flowerbed, on my knees with my bottom in the air and head down almost on the ground to get the photo. While in this position one of our neighbours drive past and gave me a wave - she must have thought I was completely barmy!!
