When I was at West Dean College for my concert last Sunday I had a quick look at the art exhibition, titled Form and Nature, in the Sussex Barn Gallery. The pieces which caught my instantly were some abstract clay sculptures by Merete Rasmussen. Apparently they are created by joining together long thin stands of clay to create wonderful shapes. I made a point of going back today with my camera and spent a bit of time taking photos, focussing on the abstract shapes and the shadows created by the lighting.
