I was out in the car this evening and it looked like we might be in for a good sunset so I drove up to the Trundle at Goodwood to see if I could capture today’s photo. In the end I couldn’t get a decent view of the sunset but I spotted this lovely warm light falling on the hills as I looked towards Chichester Cathedral and wondered whether it might make a good shot. I’ve had to work quite hard on the computer to bring out the detail as it was a rather hazy evening but I think I’ve captured the mood of the evening as I saw it.

Nice shot, Helen. Why when we are looking for a nice dusk or dawn we cannot get it? I remember during my first trip to Morocco, at night I climbed the highest dune to see the beautiful dawn in the desert... it was hard and difficult, I ended exhausted... But when the sun started to come out, a lot mist covered the horizon. :( I never tried again... ????? · 2009-05-20: 07:59
