Different angles (theme)

Before I left for school this morning I checked what today’s Photoblog theme was and mulled it over as a cycled to work. With the theme being ‘Same thing, different angles’ I decided on Chichester Cathedral as my subject. It’s a building I’ve shot many times before but there’s always a different angle to be found so I took a stroll around at lunchtime with my camera and came up with these eight shots. The lighting was far from ideal (you’ll notice the sundial says it was 12 o’clock – it was of course 1pm according to British Summer Time) but it was the only time I had available today so I had to make the best of a bad job in that respect. The gargoyles are something of an oddity to Chichester Cathedral. Each side of the West Door we have Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip and the gargoyles along the south side depict former members of the clergy at the Cathedral. I think someone at the Cathedral Works Organisation (who have overseen the renovations) has a quirky sense of humour!
