Doors of Oundle

2009.07.26

For the next week my home is going to be Oundle School, near Peterborough, where I am tutoring on the National Youth Recorder Orchestra’s annual summer course. When I arrived this afternoon I went for a quick stroll around Oundle to try and find a photo for today and discovered it to be a charming market town with plenty of potential subjects. In the end I decided to do the same as I did at the last year’s course in Abbots Bromley (see here) and start with a survey of the town’s doors. I wasn’t disappointed – there was a wonderful variety to choose from – these are some of my favourites.

To all my Photoblog friends whose blogs I follow regularly please forgive me if I don't comment on your new entries over the next couple of weeks. I'm going to be away from home with variable internet connections so I may not always be able to look at your new photos. Looking forward to seeing your new images when I get back home!

nunuinpictures Nice collection!
I like the White Lion, lol

Hey Hellen,
I know you're going to be quite busy these weeks but I don't want you to lose the gift I put on my post today. You will need your time for other things, but if you have time one day or if you're bored at night I recomend you to see HOME.
Enjoy your summer course!

Kay I suspect you got the 'love of doors and door frames' from your Father. Keep up the good work, taking wonderful photo's.
