I woke up this morning expecting pouring rain but was surprised to find it was merely overcast and grey. With rain due later in the day I decided to go for another pre-breakfast walk in search of some dereliction and peeling paint for today’s Wednesday theme. I didn’t have to go far as I discovered this old wooden gate on a property in the town’s main shopping street. I’d noticed this door before as it was covered in drawing pins from where people have pinned notices to it in the past. However, I hadn’t noticed these wonderfully weathered bolts before and felt I could make something of them for the theme. I’ve done my best to bring out the knobbly and peeling textures, despite the lack of any decent light to help me!
