Return to the Minster

2009.08.06

The south transept of Beverley Minster

As planned I returned to Beverley Minster during my free time this afternoon, this time armed with my camera and tripod. I spent an hour or so walking around, taking the sort of photos I couldn’t take yesterday. Having the tripod meant I could capture more detail and depth of field and not have to use high ISO settings to do so. Both of these shots were ones I thought of yesterday. I love the rich colours in the organ pipes and having my wide angle lens enabled me to capture the sort of shot of the south transept window that I just couldn’t take with the lens I had when I visited last year.

davids Super shots - surprised they let you set up a tripod in there but I'm glad they did - the results are excellent. That's a seriously wide angle lens you have used for the second shot. I love this building - it's so spectacular for such an unassuming little town.
