I've tried to capture the Jaguar mascot before but never managed the shot I was after. This is my best effort yet...

Another Jaguar shot - this time from an XK140. I liked the combination of colours and lines here.

This is the air intake from a Ferrari - I decided on an abstract approach for this. I like the way you can see the reflection of the clouds in the paintwork.

Kevin and I made our monthly visit to the Breakfast Club at the Goodwood Motor Circuit this morning for our traditional bacon butty and a spot of car heaven. The theme this month was ‘Thoroughbred Sunday: the quintessential classic car and motorcycle’ so there were lots of very well polished and maintained classic cars for me to photograph. As usual I took lots of shots, mostly concentrating on details rather than whole cars as it’s tricky to capture complete vehicles at these events without people getting in the way. These are my favourite shots from the morning.

WOW! Very cool post, Helen. The owner of a restaurant close to my house has a Pontiac Solstice... I never get tired to look at it. :)

Great shots, very nostalgic for crumblies. Sorry to be an anorak but the Alvis badge is a red triangle. However, they did make a model called the Silver Eagle to which this mascot is no doubt attached. Don't know whether they all had one.
