I’ve been trying to think of a photo for this month’s assignment on the Martin Bailey photography website today. I try to enter an image every month and I was very pleased when I found out last week that my juxtaposition
shot from last month had been voted into second place for the August assignment. The theme this month is ‘mirror image’ which immediately made me think of reflections in water. Sadly, whenever I’ve been near water recently it’s been windy which hasn’t exactly been conducive to clear reflections. Instead I decided to create my own blue, reflective surface courtesy of a piece of glass. Continuing the watery idea, I chose this cheeky looking rubber duck (which my friend Sharon gave me years ago) as my subject. I’m not entirely sure I’ve got the perfect mirror image shot for the assignment here but at least I’ve got something in the bag in case I can’t find a better one before the end of the month!
