I’ve been planning to take some photos of the leaves on our next door neighbours’ fig tree for the last couple of weeks. As I leave for work in the morning the sun is always shining through the leaves, highlighting the patterns created by their veins. This evening the sun was shining through them in the opposite direction so, after asking permission from Dennis and Margaret, I stood on their front lawn snapping away. It proved to be quite challenging as there was a light breeze which wafted the leaves around just enough to put them out of focus in lots of my shots. This was the best of the bunch and it occurred to me that the leaf’s veins look rather like a street map.
