Piston Heads Sunday Service

Kevin and I went to a gathering first thing this morning at the Roll Royce factory at Goodwood. The event, called the Sunday Service, had been organised by the folks who run the Piston Heads internet forum. It was much like the monthly Goodwood Breakfast Club gatherings (although the bacon butties weren’t as good!) but there wasn’t a theme – just lots of fast cars of all makes, shapes and sizes. These were my two favourite photos from the morning. The curvy lines are the bonnet scoops of a TVR. I would imagine this pearlised paint would be a nightmare to match if you were to have a crash repair done but it shows the swoops of the bonnet off beautifully! The other shot is from the bonnet of a Ferrari. I purposely chose a shallow depth of field to let the stripes go gradually out of focus, although in an ideal world I’d shoot it without the raindrops – sadly the weather wouldn’t allow that luxury!
