Holding it all together

I had a little free time in Petersfield again at lunchtime today so I decided to explore some of the side streets I’ve never walked down before. I found this wall tie (I think that’s what they’re called) on a cottage in a street just off the square, helping to keep the ancient walls up. I like its curvy shape against the straight lines of the bricks, along with the rough textures. It was only when I got this shot onto the computer at home that I realised it has a face engraved into the metal at either end!
