We had a very hard frost overnight so when Kevin and I walked down to the local pub for lunch there were still some icy patches on the pavement. I noticed these swirls of ice lying in a puddle as we walked down so on the way back I grabbed a few shots with my compact camera. I’ve boosted the contrast quite a bit to increase the difference in exposure between the ice and water. I also converted it to monochrome as the original muddy brown colour was rather uninspiring!
